Přednáška Einstein: Génius, fyzik, člověk, humanista

The lecture will be given by Professor Jiří Podolský (Charles University), who contributed to the filming of the National Geographic series on Albert Einstein.

The lecture will recount the remarkable life story of Albert Einstein, the most famous physicist and humanist. Ten years ago, his story was captured in the epic ten-part series Genius, produced by National Geographic, which was filmed entirely in the Czech Republic (including in Pilsen). In addition to offering several specific behind-the-scenes glimpses into the making of this monumental series, the lecture will also highlight the legacy of Einstein’s work for today’s civilization and for our understanding of the universe, including black holes, neutron stars, and gravitational waves.

The lecture will take place in cooperation with the Czech Astronomical Society.
