Over the past decade, biology has started to shift from simply observing cells to actively instructing them. Much like software tells a computer what to do, we can now give cells biological instructions that guide what they become. And just like in programming, we can now design control logic that tells cells when to change, how many should change, and what they should turn into. This opened the door to building synthetic human tissues in a far more controlled and predictable way, creating new tools to study disease, test treatments, and explore future medical applications. Our guest speaker, Francesco Trovato, is currently a research associate at Lunds University. He is a genetic engineer and biotechnologist with a PhD in Molecular Biophysics. This will be a hybrid meeting held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Malmö, and virtually on Zoom.To join the Zoom Meeting:https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84905041194?pwd=aDltcU1zZEhoZkxCZFdzSXhvOUJOZz09Meeting ID: 849 0504 1194Passcode: MIRC2390The Zoom waiting room will be open from 17:45 and only members and guests who have notified us in advance will be admitted to the meeting.
