Join us for an inspiring edition of the Queer Art Club: (Re)Weaving workshop! 🌈 In this hands-on experience, you'll learn the art of tapestry making using fabric scraps on a repurposed frame. This beginner-friendly workshop invites participants to revive the traditional weaving practice, transforming found and discarded materials into beautiful textiles.
What to Expect:
Participants have the option to keep their woven piece on the frame for display or continue creating more pieces.
Accessibility:
The workshop is located on the second floor of the George Chuvalo Neighbourhood Centre, which is fully accessible. All entrances and restrooms are wheelchair accessible, and an elevator is available.
Norwin Anne, a Filipinx multidisciplinary artist, will guide you through this creative journey. With a focus on (textile) waste, Norwin aims to merge fashion with cultural understanding, leading workshops that foster community engagement. Come connect, learn new skills, and celebrate the art of weaving! 🌍
