Electro, breakbeat and industrial rhythmic noise as Copenhagen magazine Record Turnover team up with Berlin-based label Dissontiya at Sameheads. A Thursday night for the next gen, on the precipice of the classic venue’s 20th anniversary.
A night dedicated to exploratory electronic music, bringing together artists across borders. It blends live electronics with ritualistic club rhythms – expect an Ableton live set shaped by memory and depth from UK producer thorp, an energetic electro live set from Prague’s Terror Phoenix (Sing Sing Soundsystem), and Berlin-based Tunisian producer Shersh (Mrama Division) taking the dancefloor into a state of rhythmic transcendence. Also from Tunisia and first time in Berlin, Sarla is bringing a new dark ambient live set.
And that was only the live part. Flying in from Tunis, Karmasmatik is doing a hybrid DJ/live set as deköm (anyone who witnessed the Berlin debut last year knows this is unmissable). Last but not least Sariim (Temple of Joy) closes the night with dark electro currents and haunted rhythms. Support comes from the residents of the organising teams: Autocannibal, Christopher Bo and No Hay Futuro.
No pre-sale, so come early and stay late.
Line-up: Sarla, Shersh, Sariim, Christopher Bo, Record Turnover, Bette Davis Eyes
