Join us for a captivating evening that honors a remarkable achievement in Baroque music scholarship! ✨ Experience the magnificent sounds of the Fritts-Richards baroque organ at St. Alphonsus as we unveil two newly authenticated organ masterpieces by the legendary Johann Sebastian Bach:
These extraordinary works were recently discovered in a manuscript at the Royal Library of Belgium by esteemed Bach researcher Peter Wollny and attributed to Bach after extensive research.
The evening will also feature a selection of works for violin and organ:
The stunning organ at St. Alphonsus was crafted by Fritts-Richards Organ Builders in Tacoma, Washington. Its design reflects the grandeur of early Dutch and German organs, embodying the zenith of the instrument’s evolution, inspired by the 16th-century organ of Hendrick Niehoff at Brouwershaven, The Netherlands.
