🏔️ The Grand Tour – Romania’s Ultimate Off-Road Adventure
Prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime, 2-week off-grid camping experience! Covering approximately 720 km through rivers and mountain peaks, explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. All routes unite into one epic track, categorized by varying difficulty levels from easy and medium to hard terrains.

🚙 What you need:
• A low-gear equipped 4x4 vehicle
• 🛞 Minimum 32-inch wheels
• MT (mud terrain) tires recommended
• Winch & recovery accessories
• CB radio
• +5 cm suspension lift kit
• Spare tire 🛞
• 20-liter spare fuel tank ⛽️
• Tent ⛺️ (or a car prepared for sleeping)
• Off-grid shower 🚿
• Cooking accessories 🍳
• Car fridge for fresh food and cold drinks

💰 Price: €650 per car (with 2 passengers)

Day 1 – 50 km off-road
Starting from Vâlcea County, we’ll navigate the Căpățânii Mountains, visiting a stone monastery 🧱⛰️.
Day 2 – 50 km off-road
Continue through the Căpățânii, reaching the highest peak at 2130 m, then camp by a stunning lake.
Day 3 – 73 km asphalt + 40 km off-road
Head toward the Făgăraș Mountains, savoring traditional shepherd’s meals near a sheepfold 🐑.
Day 4 – 50 km off-road
Journey to a scenic mountain refuge and camp overnight.
Day 5 – 50 km off-road + 20 km asphalt
Experience panoramic views over various mountain peaks.
Day 6 – 70 km off-road + 500 m asphalt
Ride to local delicacies and stay at a hotel for the night.
Day 7 – 20 km asphalt + 35 km off-road
Tackle a challenging climb and camp at Belvedere Point.
Day 8 – 20 km asphalt + 40 km off-road
Relax and enjoy the景色 with a cozy firepit.
Days 10-12 involve more stunning routes and the final stretch to Sibiu city.
