Shut Up & Write!® in Amsterdam / Centre

Join us for an hour dedicated to writing! It's been shown that writing alongside fellow writers can be immensely beneficial. Discover how effective this can be at the 7th floor of the Central Library Amsterdam on Wednesday mornings.

Whether you're working on a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem, or anything else, you’re invited to write with us! Your work stays private—no one will see what you've done or offer unsolicited feedback. Instead of pondering over writing, come and make real progress!

📋 What to Expect:

• Quick introductions at the start of the session
• A timer set for 1 hour of uninterrupted writing
• Time to chat and connect after the writing session ends

🕒 Being Late is Okay!

No worries if you aren't on time; feel free to join in when you can and check in with us afterward. Just look for the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign!

✅ What to Bring:

• Anything you need to help kickstart your writing journey!
• Earbuds/earplugs if you want to block out the café's background noise.
• Don’t forget to come with your devices fully charged as charging spots might not always be available.

⚠️ Additional Details:

• If you're a first-timer at the library, allow a few minutes to get connected to the Wifi using the publicroam app.
• There’s no requirement to buy anything, but bringing your own food and drink is not allowed.
