Join us for Small Things: Weaving Threads! 🧵

“‘Wearability’ is not the end of life.”

Transform old clothing and fabrics into new 'threads'! This workshop focuses on weaving as a process of transformation, allowing participants to create a woven (upcycled) textile piece. You'll also have the option to take home your own cardboard loom! 🎨

Workshop Details:

  • Facilitator: Joe Lewis, past artist-in-residence
  • Dates: Attend on Aug 14 or Aug 21 (or both!)

About the Series:
Small Things: Tea, Teachings & Being Together is a series of creative workshops led by Indigenous and settler artists, presented by Scadding Court Community Centre and Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence, with support from the Toronto Arts Council. This series explores the connections and relationships that emerge when people create together, fostering community and shared experiences. 🤝
