Join us for an unforgettable experience at History San Jose as we celebrate the annual Spirit of '45 Living History Day and Big Band Swing Dance! This event captures the essence of the WWII era, showcasing both the war and home-front experiences with captivating exhibits and interactive activities for all ages.

• Explore a WWII tent city and vintage cars

• Participate in 1940s-era children's games

The day culminates with reenactments such as President Truman's announcement, the iconic Times Square kiss, and a homecoming victory parade!

As the sun sets, continue the celebration as History Park transforms into a USO-style swing dance under the enchanting glow of the Electric Light Tower.

Experience the 1940s with a range of activities:
For Kids: Code-breaking, agility courses, caring for the wounded, and canning fruit! For Kids at Heart: Vintage vehicles, historical trolley rides, and photos in your finest vintage attire!

• Living History: Meet WWII veterans and Rosies, and enter real historic valley homes with costumed guides.

🔹 BIG BAND CONCERT & SWING DANCE | 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Dance the night away to the tunes of the era!

• Live Music: Enjoy the sounds of The Swing Solution, a premier 19-piece big band.
• Dance Lessons Included: New to swing? Don’t worry! An instructor will guide you through the basics.
• Food & Drink: Savor delicious options from local food trucks while you dance!
