Summer Picnic Potluck w/LA UXR Meetup

🧺 Join us for the LA UXR Summer Picnic Potluck!

Time to ditch the office and enjoy a laid-back summer picnic at Ocean View Park, just south of the Santa Monica Pier. Our guest speaker, Yeyen Ong, will be there to discuss creating a research portfolio!

This fun event is family and dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your partner, kids, and pups! There’s a playground nearby to keep the little ones entertained while adults catch up.

📍 Location: Ocean View Park, 2701 Barnard Way, Santa Monica, CA 90405 (Meet at the West southwest corner near Barnard Way & Sea Colony Dr.)

🍽️ Potluck: Bring a dish or drink to share! Sign up on Google Sheet to let us know what you're bringing. We'll provide plates, cups, and utensils.

🧺 What to Bring:

• Camping chairs or picnic blankets for comfort.
• Canopies or umbrellas for extra shade.
• Beach gear for those who want to enjoy the nearby beach!

🅿️ Parking Options:

• Free Residential Parking: Available on many residential streets nearby on Saturdays from 12pm-2pm, though some walking may be required.
• Metered Street Parking: On Main Street and Ocean Park Boulevard at $1.00 to $2.00 per hour.
• On-Site Beach Lots: Parking Lot 5 South costs $1.00 per hour with a strict 2-hour maximum limit.
