Super Saturday: Summer of Expression

Join us for a colorful day of creativity at our Summer of Expression event! Experience hands-on workshops, exciting performances, and family-friendly activities inspired by our latest program.

Activities Include:

🖌️ Spin and Splat Painting with Graham Robinson
🕙 Sessions at 10–11.30am, 11.45am–1.15pm, and 2–3.30pm | Simmons Learning Room
🎟️ £5 per participant | Booking required | Ages 3+ (accompanying adults are free, but not participating)
Dive into movement and creativity as we make stunning paintings using a rotating machine, create abstract art with stencils, and craft a special box to take your masterpiece home!

👁️ Vision and Colour Workshop: Become a Colour Detective

Discover the science of color vision with the University of Plymouth’s Optometry team! Through engaging activities inspired by Gillian Ayres’ artwork, kids will explore how we see colors, participate in fun experiments, and learn about eye health (note: one activity includes flashing colored lights).

💪 Arm Wrestling: Demonstrations and Have-a-Go

Inspired by Jordan Baseman’s film Pro-Grip, enjoy a lively afternoon of arm wrestling demonstrations, sparring, and friendly competition! Join local groups to learn the basics and test your strength in a welcoming atmosphere.
