In 2019, Holocaust historian Christopher Browning proposed a new framework, urging us to shift our perspective from “systematic genocide” to “systemic genocide.” This talk will explore how historical interpretations of traumatic events, with a focus on the Holocaust and World War II, have led to a systemic understanding and what this means for our comprehension of the past and visions for the future.
