Join us for the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival, the highlight of Tewkesbury’s summer since 1983! This fantastic gathering is celebrated as the largest free medieval event in Europe, drawing in re-enactors, traders, entertainers, and visitors from around the globe. 🎉

The festival features a breathtaking re-enactment of the Battle of Tewkesbury, set in the very location of the historic conflict from 1471. Experience the thrill as participants, including families, take on the roles of a medieval army in authentic encampments over the weekend.

Our diverse program includes a variety of period entertainment such as music, dance, and drama, showcasing fascinating characters from history—think surgeons, preachers, and even a dragon keeper! 🐉

Kids can enjoy a dedicated activity area filled with arts and crafts inspired by the era, while the exhibition tent features displays from organizations specializing in various aspects of history.
