Indigo Dyeing + Fishing-Net Bag Workshop

Inspired by fishing-village life along China's southeast coast and Hainan Island, this workshop combines field stories, indigo dyeing, and traditional net-knotting.

We'll start with a short talk and documentary excerpts from our art residency fieldwork. Then, you'll:

🌱 Dye natural cotton cord with indigo
🪢 Learn the basic structure and knots of fishing nets
👜 Make an indigo net bag for fruit, flowers, yarn, and everyday objects

You'll take home one finished bag and the cotton cord you dyed yourself. No prior experience is required. All materials are included.

这是一场从沿海田野走向工作台的纤维艺术工作坊。我们将从中国东南沿海与海南岛的渔村生活出发，通过简短分享与艺术驻地纪录片片段，了解渔网结构背后的生活方式与手工智慧。

你将：
🌱 用蓝靛为天然棉线染色
🪢 学习渔网的基础结构与打结方法
👜 完成一个可以装水果、鲜花、毛线与日常物品的蓝靛网袋

活动结束后，你可以带走完成的渔网包和自己染制的棉线。无需编织或植物染基础，材料均包含在内。
