TreeKeeper Training 2026

Join Trees Atlanta's TreeKeeper program and become a leader in nurturing our urban forest! 🌿 This engaging training is designed for volunteers of all levels, culminating in the opportunity to become a Certified TreeKeeper after fulfilling project leadership requirements.

Program Highlights:

• 7 Consecutive Saturday Sessions covering practical tree education 🗓️

• Topics include:

  • 🌱 Introduction to Trees Atlanta
  • 🏞️ Tree Identification
  • 🌳 Tree Selection
  • 🌍 Tree Health (soil, mature tree care, common tree pests)
  • 🌞 Atlanta's Canopy/Heat Island Effect
  • 🍃 Ecology of Place - Georgia & Atlanta's Urban Forest
  • 🌾 Invasive Plant Species

• Participants will receive:

  • 7 informative classes
  • A field guide to trees in the Eastern United States 📚
  • Discount at the annual Trees Atlanta Tree Sale 🎉

Experience a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, science-based knowledge, hands-on demonstrations, and great interaction with fellow classmates and instructors. 🌍✨
