Join us for an enlightening conversation with Carlos Beas Torres, a key representative of the National Indigenous Congress of Mexico (CNI). This event will delve into the ongoing struggles of indigenous peoples in Mexico and their steadfast commitment to anticapitalist resistance.

📍 Location: Solidaritetshuset, Griffenfeldsgade 41, Copenhagen, Denmark
🔗 Event Details
Carlos will share insights about the CNI, founded in 1996 in response to the Zapatista uprising of 1994. The CNI serves as a vital space for indigenous peoples, fostering discussion and solidarity to empower their struggles for resistance and rebellion.

Despite enduring five centuries of violence, domination, and dispossession stemming from capitalism, the CNI remains resolute. They demand respect for:

  • 🌱 Mother Earth and all forms of life
  • 🏞️ Their territories
  • 🎭 Their diverse cultures
  • 🗣️ Indigenous languages and identities
  • ⚖️ Self-governance
Over three decades, the CNI has bravely countered racism, state repression, and capitalist extractive projects. Their message remains clear!

Organizer: Internationalt Forums Mexicogruppe
