Om evenemanget

The Hovory v Pistori discussion evening will welcome Michal Havran and Rozália Vlasková to the Pistori Palace on June 17.

Michal Havran was born in Bratislava and lived in France for eleven years. He studied Protestant theology in Strasbourg and history and political theology in Paris. He contributes to the daily newspaper Sme and other media outlets. He has published several books—The Candidate (with Maroš Hečko), Rabies, Illiterate, We’ll Hang You, My Father Was in the Party. He is the co-author of the film The Candidate. For eleven years, he hosted the discussion program Večera s Havranom on STVR. He now runs the online portal HVRN.

Rozália Vlasková is from Trenčín; she studied ethnology and cultural anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Comenius University in Bratislava. Since 2011, she has worked as an editor and program director for the digital channel of Slovak Radio, Rádio Junior, which broadcasts programs for children. A longtime creator of children’s programs, she found herself on the list of redundant employees in April of this year. She is convinced that this is retaliation for her outspoken opposition to the new STVR.

Hosted by Michal Hvorecký.
