Badin – Beyond Surface and Mask

Dive into the extraordinary life of Adolf Ludvig Couschi Badin, an enslaved boy who transformed into a court servant, actor, and independent thinker in 18th-century Sweden. This exhibition tells not only his remarkable story but also sheds light on themes of slavery and colonialism.

🎥 Experience Badin through his own letters and writings and watch Salad Hilowle’s newly created film work that brings him back to life, reflecting on his past and the perceptions of others.

🗓️ Visit Details:

• When: 2 May–8 August, Saturdays from 12:30–12:50 (no pre-bookings required).
• Language: Introductions in Swedish will be held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 13:00–13:20, from 21 February–8 August.
• Note: No introduction on Midsummer's Day, 20 June.
