Slunovrat (hostina & koncert)
The celebration of the summer solstice and Midsummer Night will take place at the table and in the chapel. The evening will open with a feast organized by the "spolu u jednoho stolu" project: seasonal food prepared with an awareness of where it comes from and what it represents. Time at the table is presented as a practice, not merely a break. Starting at 7:30 p.m., we’ll move to the chapel, where Evaspell and Vi Tran will perform: one blending violin and electronics, the other combining organ, electronics, and voice. The solstice is a time to nourish both body and ears and to slow down the soul.
Program:
- 6:00–7:30 PM feast in the garden
- 7:30–8:15 PM concert in the chapel
spolu u jednoho stolu – Food as politics, as care, as time. The “together at one table” project slows us down regarding things we take for granted—and asks what we’re actually carrying on our forks. A seasonal feast opens the evening where it makes sense to begin: with the body, with hunger, at the table with others.
Evaspell – Violin, electronics, and a sense of balance. Evaspell composes music that doesn’t loudly demand attention. Her melodic motifs build subtly, like light you don’t notice until it’s everywhere. Member of Prague’s Synth Library, sound design for theater and dance, debut EP Collect All and Save.
Vi Tran – Sound as space. Scent as an archive. Vi creates work that straddles the boundaries of ambient music, ritual performance, and sound art. Within her sets, she works with vocals, synthesizers, and organs in a way that allows one simply to breathe and be present. Under the name dējāvi, she performed at the Lunchmeat Festival; her work embodies the second-generation Czech-Vietnamese experience as something that cannot be explained, only lived.
