Tutorial 10 – NLP - Named-Entity-Recognition with Hugging Face & PyTorch

Join me for a monthly machine learning and deep learning tutorial in Dublin, where a small group of enthusiasts will dive deep into exciting AI topics!

Tutorial Details:

In this session, we’ll be fine-tuning a Named Entity Recognition (NER) model utilizing a Hugging Face pretrained model and PyTorch. This hands-on workshop will cover several key areas:

• Data preprocessing, including tokenization
• Model fine-tuning
• Performance evaluation
• Inference on new, unseen text samples

You’ll receive a comprehensive Jupyter notebook filled with clean, reusable code for every step of the process. All you need is a laptop and a Google account to run everything in Google Colab!

The tutorial serves as a practical introduction to machine learning and deep learning, focusing on data processing, model training, and evaluation using Python. While we won’t delve deeply into the mathematics behind it, some tutorials may include mathematical formulas for algorithm explanations, depending on the datasets and tasks at hand. The emphasis is primarily on practical application!
