When Barry Wirth (played by Sam Worthington) is released from prison, he makes a promise to himself to go straight. Partnering with fellow ex-con Johnny Spitieri (portrayed by David Wenham), they secure jobs as cooks at a restaurant run by reformed convict-turned-restaurateur Darren Barrington (played by Timothy Spall). Just when life seems to settle down, Darren's shady accountant attracts the attention of the Crimes Investigation Commission, teaching Wirth that honesty is a challenging endeavor!
