66th Annual Art on the Rocks Fine Arts Show

The Lake Superior Art Association proudly presents the 66th Annual Art on the Rocks Fine Art Show, July 25-26, 2026 at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette, Michigan! Join us as we celebrate another great year and welcome an incredible slate of artists representing a wide variety of artistic media to the shores of Lake Superior. This year's show features over 110 local, regional, and national artists from all corners of the country.Show times are Saturday, July 25 from 10:00am-6:00pm and Sunday, July 26 from 10:00am-4:00pm. Admission is always free!Art on the Rocks is also excited to partner with the NMU Student Art League. Visit their tent to see their members' work and enjoy fun art activities for the young and young at heart!- - -Art on the Rocks is presented by the Lake Superior Art Association with generous support from Travel Marquette and the City of Marquette.- - -Art on the Rocks is an annual, juried fine art fair. Art on the Rocks began in 1959 when 35 artists and craftsman exhibited their work on the rocky hillside site of the Father Marquette statue in Marquette, Michigan. It was an open show chaired by Anita E. Meyland who coined the title, “Art on the Rocks.” Over sixty years later, the tradition of Art on the Rocks continues with annual fairs held during the last full weekend each July. The event has become synonymous with the beautiful Upper Peninsula summer season, and every year our team looks forward to inviting over 100 artists from around the country, representing a wide variety of artistic media, to our beloved shore.
