7 Hills of Edinburgh

Join us for an exciting adventure across the stunning hills of Edinburgh! 🏞️ This full route covers all seven hills surrounding Scotland's capital through picturesque paths and urban landscapes.

Overview
Who is ready for a challenge? This journey begins at Waverley Station where we ascend Calton Hill and make our way to Arthur's Seat, the highest point of our trek, offering a steep climb and descent. Next, we head to Blackford Hill, then through the beautiful Hermitage of Braid and up Braid Hill. We will continue to Easter Craiglockhart Hill, enjoying views as we descend to the canal path and stroll along the Water of Leith toward Corstorphine Hill.

Expect a long stretch of pavement walking back to the city through Dean Village, culminating at Castle Hill where we can admire our impressive feat and perhaps celebrate our success with refreshments on the Royal Mile! 🍽️

What to Bring
Ensure to carry plenty of water, snacks, and lunch. Toilets are available at Waverley Station, Hermitage of Braid, and Water of Leith Visitor Centre, which also features a café. 🥤🥪 Walking boots are essential, as the trails can be muddy and slippery. For those wishing to shorten the route, bus options are available from the Water of Leith Visitor Centre back to Waverley.

If weather conditions are poor, the walk may be rescheduled to Sunday, May 24. 🌧️
