Meet Yasmin 🌈

Yasmin, a determined 38-year-old woman with severe cerebral palsy, faces unique challenges in communication. Currently relying on a speech computer operated by eye movement, her dream is to express herself more freely and connect with the world. This hackathon is your chance to help make that dream a reality!

The Challenge 🚀

Design and develop intuitive AI tools that empower Yasmin to communicate and interact more effectively in her environment, enhancing her autonomy and overall quality of life.

What to Expect 🗓️

• Friday: Welcome Evening with registration and dinner.
• Saturday: Build Day 1 featuring team activities, workshops, and a chance to watch the World Cup match!
• Sunday: Build Day 2 and the exciting Grand Finale where you’ll present your solutions.

Phases of Innovation 💡

1. Empathy – Conduct user interviews and empathy mapping.
2. Definition – Craft problem statements and explore possibilities.
3. Ideation – Generate ideas and storyboard solutions.
4. Prototyping – Create mockups and interface designs.
5. Pitch – Present your work to the jury, including Yasmin’s mom, Marla Boendermaker.
