
American Mahjongg — Lessons for Beginners
Join us for Mahjongg Lessons from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM! 🕥
These lessons are perfect for both new and returning players. You'll learn:
- The history of Mahjongg 📜
- How to identify the tiles 🀄
- Basic gameplay rules 🎲
At the end of the lesson, if space allows, you can sign up for the Support Table to play with other new players under the guidance of an instructor. 🧑🏫
All students are welcome to observe the Open Play at 1:00 PM. Please note that new students may not play at Open Play tables until they have completed at least one session at the Support Table.
📍 Location: Capital Jewish Museum, 575 3rd St NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA. The museum is just one block from the Judiciary Square Metro station (Red line). Street parking is available, and a paid garage is located at 3rd and G Streets.
You do not need to be a member of the museum to participate. Upon entering, you will be directed to the Nosh Pit, where you can purchase snacks and coffee while waiting for the games to begin. ☕🍪
