Tom serves as Executive Chair of Innovate UK, the UK's national innovation agency and part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), where he champions pioneering businesses and drives the commercialisation of emerging technologies.

A seasoned entrepreneur and investor with over two decades of experience across startups, investment, and policy, Tom brings an exceptionally practical lens to the future of UK innovation. His background includes:

• 🧵 Founder of Metail, a fashion technology company developing virtual fitting technology, acquired in 2019
• 🤝 Co-Founder of Extend Ventures, a non-profit dedicated to improving venture funding access for underrepresented founders
