Areeiro: Fortnightly FastForest® Meetup

🇬🇧 Join us for our fortnightly nurturing sessions with the Forest Guardians! Together, we'll ensure that our plants receive the water and nutrients they need to thrive while managing the native habitat to bolster our local ecosystem.

Why should you participate?
This is an incredible chance to connect with fellow community members, learn about Portuguese native species, and contribute to a greener Lisbon. Plus, spending time in nature is beneficial for your well-being! Research suggests that microorganisms in soil can trigger the release of serotonin—the "happiness hormone"—in our brains. Come enjoy some nature-infused joy!

What Will We Be Doing?
Our activities adapt with the seasons, but typically include:

• Nurturing: Watering and enriching young trees.
• Maintenance: Careful weeding and pruning to encourage growth.
• Biodiversity: Removing invasive species to provide room for our native plants to flourish.

Event Details:

• When: Every other Saturday at 10:00 to 13:00
• Where: Minifloresta do Areeiro
• What to Bring: A reusable water bottle, snacks, and sun protection.
• What We Provide: All necessary gloves, tools, and an abundance of positive energy!
