Choose between crafting a Butterfly, Dragonfly, or Flower charm, all while personalizing them with vibrant cords, beads, and hardware. All materials are provided for this beginner-friendly workshop!

About the Instructor: Sitoë Thiam

Sitoë Thiam (b. 1997) is a Brooklyn-born, San Diego-based fiber artist and designer. She explores the interplay between modern tools and traditional techniques, transforming waste materials into functional art. After five years as a Mechanical Engineer, she founded Unknot in 2024, where she creates colorful compositions and unique accessories.

Her passion for sustainable design, fashion, and foraging (both natural and man-made) drives her work. With a focus on ease of access, Sitoë's teaching encompasses:

1. Knotting whimsical, wearable art
2. Utilizing secondhand and discarded materials
3. Teaching traditional arts in approachable ways

In this workshop, you’ll learn knotting fundamentals through creating your very own Bug Bag Charms! You'll start by making one of the three creatures—each teaching you the essential Square knot. Then, personalize your creation with a variety of colorful materials!
