Civil Service + 601 (Full Live Band debut!) + BINGE!
🎉 Join us for an electrifying night at 33 Oldham St in Manchester as Civil Service headlines their first show in a year! After a stunning performance at last year's Akari festival and the release of their sophomore album Dark///, this event kicks off a series of performances celebrating the band's 10th anniversary! Expect a thrilling setlist featuring classics from their extensive back catalogue.
🌌 Joining them are 601, hailing from Yorkshire & Manchester. Initially an experimental bass music project, 601 has transformed through collaborations within the Post Rock and Post Metal scenes. After previously DJing at 33 Oldham St, they are set to make their full band live debut! Featuring core members Nat and George, along with talented musicians from the scene, they’re ready to bring tracks from their upcoming album We Are Not the Same to life.
⚡ Opening the night is BINGE, a phenomenal instrumental math/noise rock duo from Manchester. Known for their chaotic, high-energy performances, this balaclava-clad pair—comprised of Rob Sewell (Niskala) on guitar and drummer Mark Heron (Oceansize, Kong)—are acclaimed for crafting an intense wall of sound using just two instruments! Formed in 2018, they have shared the stage with prominent acts like Lightning Bolt, Melt Banana, and played at festivals including ArcTanGent and Kendal Calling.
📅 Mark your calendars for Friday, 20 February! This is one gig you won’t want to miss!
