Indulge in the captivating melodies led by Pianist and composer Coen Molenaar, the heart of the trio, alongside Mark Eshuis on drums and David de Marez Oyens on double bass. Their unique fusion of lyrical storytelling, rich harmonies, and powerful rhythms will take you on an emotional journey.

The influences of jazz legends like Michel Petrucciani, Herbie Hancock, Monty Alexander, George Duke, and McCoy Tyner resonate throughout their dynamic improvisations and expressive piano lines.

The Trio’s music paints vivid narratives, capturing landscapes and feelings—from the cascading imagery of Azul Blue Waterfalls to the serene reflections of August Rain in Damascus. Their sound intertwines South American rhythms with classic jazz, blues, and soul, creating truly impressionistic masterpieces that are both cinematic and deeply personal.

Expect an intimate atmosphere as the trio explores a spectrum of emotions, gracefully transitioning between melancholy and joy, high-energy grooves and spontaneous improvisations. Each musician partakes in a genuine dialogue, allowing creativity to flow, all while maintaining a cohesive and swinging performance.

Critics have lauded their sound, with trumpeter Randy Brecker calling their set “romantic, striking an emotional nerve” and guitarist Jan Akkerman praising their exploration of harmonic options.
