Constable Ambisonic - Angela Wai Nok Hui

Join us for a captivating live performance by Angela Wai Nok Hui, as she responds to a unique sound recording made at the site of one of John Constable's exquisite paintings. Part of the Constable Ambisonic project, sound artist Stuart Bowditch has created immersive 360º spatial audio recordings of locations tied to 20 of Constable's masterpieces.

🎤 Event Highlights:

• Experience stereo versions of these recordings at the upcoming exhibition ‘The Hay Wain: Walking Constable’s Landscape’ at Christchurch Mansions in Ipswich.
• This is the second of six live events showcasing ambisonic recordings, paired with performances from commissioned artists.
• Angela Hui Wai Nok, a talented percussionist and sound artist, will perform in response to ‘Hampstead Heath looking towards Harrow (ii)’, painted in 1821.

✨ These events are part of the Constable250 project, celebrating Constable’s anniversary. Supported by public funding from the National Lottery and an Arts Council Project Grant, with match funding from Colchester and Ipswich Museums and support from National Trust Flatford.
