Join us in the studio for an evening of customizing rice paper lampshades using paper cut collage and decoupage! ✂️✨

What is Decoupage?
Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing paper cutouts onto a surface and sealing it with multiple layers of varnish or lacquer. The term comes from the French word découper, meaning "to cut out".

Together, we'll snip colorful shapes and motifs from tissue paper to create whimsical, one-of-a-kind art objects. Check out this Pinterest board for inspiration! 🎉 It's going to be colorful, meditative, and super crafty!

• Complimentary beverage ☕

Note: This is not a rice paper lantern building workshop; a lantern will be provided for customization. Lightbulb & cord must be purchased separately! We're here to guide you through the process! 💡❤️

What to Expect at RecCreate

Our clubs are designed to feel like visiting a friend’s apartment for a craft hangout! We'll take care of all the materials and show you the basics while enjoying some great music! The focus is on process, play, and building community with conversation prompts throughout. 👫🎶

Getting Here

The venue is an hidden art studio located at 20 Grand Ave, Brooklyn, NY on the 6th floor of a commercial building. When you arrive, buzz #604, push to open, and take the elevator to the 6th floor (push the elevator button until it turns red). 🔑🚪Take a right out of the elevator and a left at the end of the hallway; the door will be the first on your right.

Cancellation Policy

Tickets for this event are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Please double-check your calendar before purchasing. If you cannot attend, feel free to give your ticket to a friend or swap it on our ticket swap board. Just make sure they use your name! 🔄
