Join us for an engaging discussion inspired by Glen Weyl's groundbreaking research, notably his book Radical Markets. Leon Erichsen, who began exploring these concepts during his undergraduate studies, will share insights about the Deutschland, was geht? initiative.

In collaboration with SPRIND and the Ministry of Digital Affairs, this citizen participation project invited nearly 28,000 citizens to share their experiences and feelings about navigating the German administration. This feedback was synthesized using AI technologies, and citizens prioritized their ideas through Quadratic Voting, supported by accountable bridging algorithms.

📝 Unlike traditional policy recommendations, SPRIND is now calling for civic hackers across Europe to collaboratively tackle the prioritized issues with the German administration, backed by funding and various ministerial supports.

In this session at Newspeak House, Leon and Glen will delve into their research, ongoing processes in citizen participation in Germany, and socio-technical details. Expect an open discussion that aims to foster collaboration in research and political efforts, both in Germany and internationally.

• Leon Erichsen: A research-driven product manager with expertise in political economy, mechanism design, and digital public infrastructure. He has collaborated with RadicalxChange, Gitcoin, and the Harvard Kennedy School.
• E. Glen Weyl: A political economist and technologist, founder and research lead at Microsoft Research's Plurality Technology Collaboratory, and co-author of the influential book Radical Markets.
