As the founder of International Deejay Gigolo Records, he helped define the electroclash movement at the turn of the millennium, creating a cultural phenomenon that fused techno, new wave, fashion, art and pop into an entirely new aesthetic.
Equally revered as a DJ, producer, label head and curator, Hell has spent his career shaping the direction of electronic music from both behind the decks and behind the scenes. His label became home to seminal releases from artists such as Miss Kittin, The Hacker and Tiga, while his own productions have become enduring club classics.
From underground clubs to the world's most renowned festivals and cultural institutions, DJ Hell's influence extends far beyond the dancefloor. A true architect of modern electronic music culture, he remains as visionary, provocative and relevant today as he was when he first emerged more than thirty years ago.
