El Timbon

El Timbon is a weekly Wednesday Cuban salsa and timba social from 9 PM to 1 AM at Upcider in San Francisco.

The evening starts with an all-levels casino salsa class, then continues with open dancing while DJ Walt Digz plays timba and Cuban music. Upcider is a second-floor cider house-gastropub with hard ciders, beer, wine, and a food menu; Wednesday kitchen hours are 5 PM to 9:30 PM.

Entry is free before 11 PM and $10 after 11 PM, and the event is 21 and over. For getting there, Polk-Bush Garage and 80 Hemlock Parking Garage are nearby, with 80 Hemlock about 0.1 mi away; the Polk St & Sutter St and Sutter St & Polk St bus stops are about a 1-minute walk from Upcider.
