Join us every Second Sunday for an exciting day full of art, creativity, and connection—ideal for families of all kinds!

🍽️ Kid-friendly menu options are available at Kaffeina Café. All activities are included with Museum admission*, which can be purchased on-site or by clicking the Book Now button. Individual activity registration is on a first-come, first-served basis—arrive early to secure your spot for Studio Explorers, as space is limited! Members enjoy free admission but still need to book 2nd Sunday admission to register for activities.

Creation Station 🖍️

Come create with us from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm! Kids and their grown-ups are invited to dive into a world of colorful, quirky materials and let their imaginations soar. There are no rules—just endless possibilities! Dream it, make it, and watch your creativity come to life. All ages welcome!

Studio Explorers 🎨

Get hands-on in the Studio with a professional artist! Each month, children and their families create a unique work of art inspired by pieces in our collection. We’ll be making family-friendly artwork for August! On-site registration required.
Sessions:

• Group 1: 10:15 am – 11:15 am
• Group 2: 11:15 am – 12:15 pm
• Group 3: 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm

Giggles and Tales 📚

Let imaginations run wild in our Kids Corner with interactive story time led by artist and musician Quinci Spady. This month’s theme is Space Explorers! Magical interactive readings and activities will inspire a lifelong love of reading and creativity.
Sessions:

• Group 1 (ages 2–5): 10:30 am – 11:30 am
• Group 2 (ages 6–10): 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
• Group 3 (all ages): 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm

NEW! Pool Noodle Pirate Ships 🏴‍☠️

Ahoy, mateys! Set sail on a pirate adventure at the Delaware Art Museum! From 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, families are invited to design and build their own pool noodle pirate ships using fun materials. Test your ship in the Sculpture Garden to see if it can conquer the seas! Wear weather-appropriate clothing for a swashbuckling adventure filled with creativity and imagination!

Kids’ Corner

Kids’ Corner is the Museum’s interactive space for families and is open during regular Museum hours. Note: During 2nd Sunday, access will be limited to Giggles and Tales participants from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm. Learn more at the event!
