Get ready for a flavour-packed journey through one of Joburg’s most vibrant neighbourhoods! We kick things off at Shalimar Delights, a hub for traditional Indian sweet meats (think delicious fudge-like treats!). Next, we wander through the colourful streets of Fordsburg, soaking up the rich culture and history. ✨

First stop: Lilian Road Studios to admire an incredible mosaic by artist Hannelie Coetzee. 🍻 Then, on to Archie’s, a quirky dive bar known for its cold beers and iconic polony sandwiches.

As Jozi’s food capital, Fordsburg is steeped in history, with merchants playing a pivotal role in shaping life on the Witwatersrand. We'll stroll past the legendary Oriental Plaza and reveal its connections to forced removals.

Next, we’ll visit Hamidia Masjid, one of Joburg’s oldest mosques with a significant link to Gandhi’s passive resistance movement. And then… the FEAST begins! 😋

Around the market square, cultures collide in the best possible way. On a single block, you’ll find Turkish, Pakistani, Greek, Syrian, and South Indian food! Our food stops include:
