Festival of the Rose

Greetings noble folks of Caid! 🤗

The Barony of Dun Or warmly welcomes all to a day filled with mirth, merriment, and noble fellowship at the Festival of the Rose, honoring our beloved Queen Fara! ✨

Since its inception in 1980 as the Queen’s Arts Tea, this grand celebration has blossomed into a delightful tribute to the beauty and creativity of our realm. Queen Fara invites all artisans, scholars, Squires, Apprentices, Protégés, and performers to showcase their extraordinary talents in the Arts, Sciences, and Bardic traditions. 🎨📜

Join in the festivities, whether to admire the marvelous works or compete for the title of Her Champion.

Silent Auction 🤲

A silent auction will be conducted to benefit the Kingdom Travel Fund. If you wish to contribute treasures for the auction, please bring them along or email a detailed gift certificate to Duchess Lorissa at thelorissa@sca-caid.org!

Event Registration 🎟️

• Adult Event Registration: $25
• Adult Member Discount: $15
• Youth (17 and under): Guests of the Barony.
  Payments can be made via check to SCA, Inc/Barony of Dun Or. Donations are welcomed at the gate to support newcomers attending their first event!

Activities & Competitions 🎶

• A&S Competition/Displays: Artisans are encouraged to provide demonstrations. Sign up here to participate!
• Performance Arts: Share your talents in song, story, or dance during our presentations! Sign up for a spot here by August 10 at 11:59 PM.
• Classes: Knowledgeable folks are invited to teach classes! Submit your topic here.

Site Information 🔍

• No smoking or vaping within 25 feet of playgrounds.
• No alcoholic entries.
• Service animals are always welcome; leashed pets outside are allowed.

In line with SCA values of respect, we request that all displays refrain from vulgar and violent content.

Take CA-14 N/S to W Ave N. Continue to 10th Street West and turn left; your destination will be on the left side (East side of 10th st W).
