First Friday Art Opening: Woodfire Potters of Georgia

Join us at The 567 for the Woodfire Potters of Georgia exhibition! 🌟 This statewide touring exhibition highlights Georgia’s rich woodfiring tradition, showcasing the work of six talented potters from Macon and beyond.

The artists blend folk pottery lineages, Japanese kiln traditions, and contemporary ceramic artistry, all united by their passion for the centuries-old craft of woodfiring. Notable participants include legacy potters like Roger Jamison, who brings over 30 years of firing experience.

Witness the dedication of these potters as they travel great distances and work through the night for firings that range from traditional folk sessions to multi-day Anagama and Naborigama firings inspired by Japanese practices.
