Fourth Friday: The Dufferin Groove

Imagine yourself in New Orleans on a warm summer evening! 🌆 Join The Dufferin Groove as they bring their delightful Trad Jazz sound to the Civic Museum patio, breathing life into timeless melodies from the 1920s and 30s, featuring classics by legends like Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, and Joe “King” Oliver.

Admission by donation starts at 5 p.m., with the concert kicking off at 7 p.m.. A cash bar will be available for your enjoyment.

About the Artists:

• Laurent Humeau (trumpet, clarinet, soprano, vocals) from France, has traveled the world performing music that captivates hearts. He leads various projects, including the Jungle Jazz Band.
• Ashleigh Rose (tuba) is a classically trained musician who transitioned to the tuba and sousaphone, playing in various prestigious ensembles across Europe and Canada.
• Jared Higgins (tenor banjo) has been a prominent part of the Toronto swing scene since his graduation from Humber College in 2016, collaborating with several local acts.
