Handbuilding Workshop with Yuyu

As part of Moldy Dwelling 黴の宿り, Yuyu’s solo exhibition at Lychuu, the artist will be hosting two intimate handbuilding sessions on July 25 and 26.

In this 45-minute session, participants will be invited to experience the materiality of clay through their own hands. Guided by Yuyu, you will explore how clay responds to touch, pressure, and time, and slowly shape it into a form of your own.

You may choose to create an incense holder, a small vase, a cup, or any object that naturally emerges through the process. Rather than focusing on a fixed outcome, this workshop invites you to enjoy the quiet, tactile experience of letting clay grow in your hands.

No previous ceramic experience is needed.
