Join us for an unforgettable evening as Kahlil Kwame Bell 🌟, a Grammy-affiliated percussionist, composer, arranger, and sonic innovator, takes the stage at the Harlem Jazz Series! Born in the Bronx in 1968, Bell is renowned for his mastery of over 1,000 percussion instruments and has been a part of more than 150 recordings since 1989.
Having toured with legends like Roberta Flack and Erykah Badu, and credited on Grammy-nominated albums by Jazzmeia Horn and Don Braden, Kahlil has truly made a name for himself in the jazz world. He is especially celebrated for his unique expertise with the slappaphone, a nine-pitched tubular melodic instrument that he has adeptly made his own.
