Hayseed Dixie

Hayseed Dixie emerged in the Summer of 2000 when Barley Scotch (a.k.a. John Wheeler) discovered a wrecked car in the hills of Deer Lick Holler, East Tennessee. Inside, he found vinyl albums by AC/DC, and after playing them on a 78rpm Victrola, the mountain music twist on rock left everyone astonished!

This inspired the formation of Hayseed Dixie, leading to their debut album, A Hillbilly Tribute To AC/DC, which transformed ten classic AC/DC songs into unforgettable hillbilly anthems. Released on April 17, 2001, it sold over 200,000 copies in its first year — a true testament to their unique sound!

Since then, they've released 16 studio albums, a Halloween EP, and a live album recorded in Glasgow. Catch their latest album, Shattered Grass, deemed their greatest yet! 🎤📀
