Hybrid sessions #59

Hybrid Sessions is a monthly event held at the Hybernská Campus. The event always begins with a short improvisational performance by two musicians who have never played together in this configuration and who—ideally—come from different musical scenes. The concert is followed by a jam session open to all musicians, regardless of genre. We want to create an environment for creative expression in the present moment; nothing is predetermined, and the only expectation is a high level of presence. Basic backline (drums, guitar amps, PA, piano) is provided.

This time, Martin Janíček (his own musical instruments—sculptures) and Martin Schulze (trombone) will perform.

Martin Janíček is a sound artist, sculptor, and musician. He explores the acoustic qualities of various materials and creates his own musical instruments.

Martin Schulze is a German trombonist and organizer associated with the Dresden club Hanse 3.

Starting in October, we are open to your suggestions for band lineups; however, we want the event to remain an experimental open platform, so we would like to avoid performances by existing bands.
