Welcome to Inwood Canoe Club's Sunday Open House! 🌞

Join us for an exciting summer experience! Enjoy our free, guided 20-minute kayak trips on the stunning Hudson River, just north of the George Washington Bridge. Our Open House runs every Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Important Information:

• Complete your 2025 Season Waiver before your first visit: Season Waiver
• Schedule: Every Sunday, May 25 – August 31, 2025. Please note that there will be no Open House on Sunday, July 13. Instead, join us for City of Water Day on Saturday, July 12. More details here.

Signup Details:

• Registration begins in person at 9 a.m. for three guided waves on a first-come, first-served basis. Be on time to secure your spot!
• Paddle solo or bring a friend to share a tandem kayak (based on availability). No prior paddling experience is necessary!

Wave Times:

• Wave 1: Arrive at 9:45 a.m., launch at 10 a.m.
• Wave 2: Arrive at 10:30 a.m., launch at 10:45 a.m.
• Wave 3: Arrive at 11:15 a.m., launch at 11:30 a.m.

Experience the Fun:

• Choose from our 12 sit-on-top kayaks or tandem kayaks.
• Bring your friends and family to paddle on our “canoemaran”. Up to six guests plus two ICC “Turtles” (members) can comfortably join!

Key Details:

• All participants must be able to swim.
• Minimum age: 8 years. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Paddling eligibility for minors is subject to prevailing conditions and club member discretion.
• We provide the boat, paddle, and personal flotation device (PFD).
• Dress comfortably in clothes and shoes that can get wet.
• Limit valuables; leave them at the boathouse or bring a waterproof bag. ICC is not liable for any lost items.
• No pets allowed!

Since its inception in 2002, the Inwood Canoe Club's Open House has been the only walk-up kayaking program in Northern Manhattan, serving over 1,000 guests each summer.
