Light up the Lakes

Join in on the East Gippsland Winter Festival Lakes Lights from the water! We enter the lake opposite Whiters St on our SUPs and Kayaks and paddle towards the Footbridge together, making the most of the quiet water, the darkness of the night and the colour and sparkle of our vessels on the water!Make it bright and give our lantern festival something more to look at and appreciate as the parade walks the Footbridge. Park your vessel over near the lantern display and go for a look around before paddling back again. Distance is almost 1.5km return (its more about floating and looking pretty) for a unique way to experience the lake by night!What's includedBYO SUP or Kayak (or Hire ours) and light it up as creatively as you can!FREE event! We just ask you to please book in so we know how many people will be joining us on the water! Check-in detailsParticipants under 16 years should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.What to bringLots of lights! Wear warm clothes and bring a change of clothes in case you get wet! We recommend wearing neoprene booties to keep your feet warm in the wet.
