Mazurka Klandestina v Praze (So 08.08.2026)

What is it?

The Mazurka Klandestina is an informal dance event that spontaneously began in Milan in 2008. Known as the “unofficial mazurka,” it’s organized through word of mouth among friends, via texts, emails, or Facebook.

Participants enjoy dancing the French mazurka at various locations around the city: town squares, passageways, parks, etc. It's a simple yet addictive dance.

Since its inception, Mazurka Klandestina has spread across Europe, gathering more dance enthusiasts each year. Most of the time, recorded music sets the vibe, but live musicians often join in, creating a lively jam session for dancers.

This year, the event returns to Letná Park near the metronome, starting at 21:30.

No prior dance knowledge is required, and you're welcome to join without a partner.
