Metastavy

The band Metastavy is returning to the concert stage after a two-year hiatus and will perform at Nová Cvernovka in Bratislava on September 17.

Metastavy is a band consisting of Anna Hokešová, Ursula Sereghy, Ashley Abrman, Marek Pach, and Nodin Péči. Their music is a combination of neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop, and poetry. In her lyrics, Anna Hokešová explores growing up in the city, love, and living life through dreams. The music takes the listener to a place on the border between everyday reality and the haze of days, illuminated by traffic lights, nighttime shop windows, and streetlamps. Faces, trams, and vague memories of younger versions of the world peek out from the notes. The band Metastavy was formed in 2018 and gained recognition with their debut album Až vyrostu (When I Grow Up) in 2019; their second album, Žhnoucí ticho (Burning Silence), was released in 2023.
