Mondo Queer Beach Party: AUGUST

Join us at the picturesque 50th Street Beach on Lake Nokomis, South Minneapolis!

🎉 WHO:
We're calling all TRANSGENDER, INTERSEX, & GENDER EXPANSIVE folks of all ages, along with our supportive allies! From fabulous kids to our wise elders, everyone is invited to this intergenerational celebration!

🛁 WHAT:
Experience a day filled with community, fun on the beach, delicious snacks, and refreshing beverages! Everything is FREE, but donations will support TIGERRS youth groups and intergenerational events.
Don't forget to bring your own sunscreen!

📍 WHERE:
Meet at the small 50th Street beach, look for the pride flags hanging from the trees! We'll be set up in the grassy area to the right of the swim area.

🔒 ACCESSIBILITY CHECK:

• Masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged.
• We ask that all attendees be fully vaccinated before joining.
• Check out health and safety tips from the CDC to stay safer while attending!

💉 Be fully vaccinated & boosted.
😷 Bring a mask (and an extra one!) in case it gets wet.
🤑 Maintain social distance; let’s spread out!
🤲 Keep hands clean; hand sanitizer is your friend!

🚗 PARKING:
There’s street parking available and bike racks right next to the beach. A parking lot is also just a block down. Various walking paths lead directly to the grassy area. There's a cement path leading to the water, depending on the water levels.

🚌 BUS ACCESS:
The address for 50th Street Beach is 5000 Lake Nokomis Parkway E. The best bus route is Route 22 with a stop at 28th Ave. & 50th St, just a short walk to the beach! You can also transfer to Route 22 from multiple lines.
