Native Garden Workday: Native garden design basics

Learn new gardening skills at our monthly native garden workdays! This month, we'll cover some design basics just in time for fall planting.Planning a new garden can be a little overwheming. There are so many things to consider in its design - spacing, height, bloom time, and more. We'll help you simplify the process so you can get started! Stick around to help us add some new plants to Meadow City's garden.-----FAQ:Do I need to register?Registration via Eventbrite is not required, but it helps us get an accurate headcount.What should I wear?Come prepared to work outdoors! Please check the forecast and dress for the weather. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Wear closed-toed shoes. On cool days, we recommend wearing layers that can be removed as you warm up. You may also want to wear a sunhat or apply sunscreen.Should I bring anything?Please pack a good amount of water. We will provide gardening gloves and tools, but if you have your own equipment, feel free to bring it.What if the weather is bad?If it rains, we will postpone or cancel the workday - please monitor your email for updates, or feel free to call Meadow City at 216-282-6911 to check in. We usually work no matter the temperature.Is there parking?Yes, there is ample parking across from the nursery. Just follow the signs!
